Lead Engineer

Job Summary

inExhaust is an industrial silencer & exhaust systems manufacturer located in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are
looking for motivated individuals who will positively impact on our company and share in the excitement
of our successes as we continue to grow. The Lead Engineer will lead the engineering department,
overseeing projects to guide the technical design and development of custom products for inExhaust
and its customers. This role will support the short-term and long-term business goals of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Applies engineering principles and adheres to business standards, procedures, and product requirements
• Develops specialized knowledge in exhaust systems and serves as a resource within the company for engineering related questions or issues
• Constructs designs and drawings using Solidworks and computer aided design (CAD)
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests
• Performs acoustical and sizing analysis of new and existing products based on customer requirements
• Creates reports of analysis findings and establishes SOP’s for running acoustic and sizing reports for both company and customer use
• Provides guidance and support to the engineering team members, managing performance and goals
• Suggests design changes, cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturing issues
• Collaborates and communicates with all departments involved to ensure the quality of the final product
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience in acoustical, pressure vessel, and flow engineering technology
• 5+ years of experience in related fields

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

• Computer skills; Microsoft Office
• Experience in SolidWorks and CAD programs
• Exceptional communication skills
• Leadership skills, able to motivate team members

Work Environment

This is a working manufacturing and production facility. As such this is a hot, dusty, loud area,
and there are always moving parts. Caution and attention to your surroundings needs to always be
at the for front of your mind as safety always starts with you.

Travel

Less than 5% per year.

and the ability to interact effectively with others.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee required to use hands and fingers to
handle or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk
or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision
